A clicker is a small mechanical noisemaker. This is a terrific way to communicate with your pet. It's easier for the animals to learn than standard command-based training. You can clicker-train dogs, cats, birds, and many other pets as well.
This type of training makes use of a conditioned reinforcer, the sound of a plastic clicker, to mark a behaviour that will be rewarded. Behaviours that are rewarded are made stronger and will occur more frequently.
