Husk is a great substrate to use for many reptile especially snakes. It can be mixed with bark to make a really nice mix. It is very absorbent and can hold moisture well for humidity applications. It is also great in bio-active setups.
These are large bulk block around the 5 kg mark.
*Note - Husk is a very good insulator so when using heating pads the warmth might struggle a bit to get through. Heating from above with thick substrate base is best via heat emitter, basking lights or heat projectors etc.
